Hello there! Glad you stopped by!
I’m Val Seath, owner and manager of the ‘Valley Internet Sales’ and ‘Shop Renfrew County’ website. I offer a variety of Internet Sales, Marketing and Advertising Services for small business owners who live and work in Renfrew County and the Ottawa Valley.
As a long-time resident of the Ottawa Valley in, I am currently semi-retired and living with my wonderful husband, 3 rambunctious dogs and one ‘Queen of the Universe’ cat in the wilds of North Algona Wilberforce Township - within walking distance of Bonnechere Valley Township and the picturesque Bonnechere River - and loving it!
As a retired small business consultant with the former Province of Ontario, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Technology and an avid Netrapreneur, I have been online since 1997. I work hard to keep abreast of what is going on in the online world. One of my greatest pleasures is helping small businesses create a successful online presence.
And that’s basically what this site is all about!
The Ottawa Valley is unique. So are its residents. Centered mainly in Renfrew County, the largest county in Ontario with one of the lowest populations, the Ottawa Valley has always, from its earliest days, been home to both natives and settlers who are hardy, creative, enterprising and without a doubt, extremely innovative.
With the advent of the Internet, the Ottawa Valley is opening up to the world. Many people are doing business online; home-based businesses are growing and prospering due to the new opportunites presented by eCommerce, and the times, well, ‘they are a changing’ here in the Valley.
If you don’t need a complete website but would like an online business card with your business information posted for handy reference for your customers, consider placing an ad on the Shop Renfrew County.com website.
Here’s my favorite picture of ‘us.’ My husband and I with our three pampered pooches. Our cat, who truly is “the boss” of all that goes on in our home, felt that we weren’t behaving regally enough for her when this picture was taken, so she is peeking down at us (disdainfully, of course) from the upper deck. This picture was taken in 2005. Time sure flies!
